H7 Investigative Services provides high quality surveillance for your case. We will get you the video, audio, and photographs you need. From workers compensation, domestic issues, infidelity, to child custody, we will tailor an investigative plan to achieve your objective.
Our investigators think creatively, and we’ll make every legal effort to get the necessary video and photographs for your case. If that means climbing up a tree, hiding under a bush, or setting up in a hotel across the street, we take the time to observe the surroundings and find the best vantage point to make accurate and useful observations.
Conducting your own surveillance can be very dangerous, costly, and sometimes illegal. Hire a licensed private investigator that understands the law and uses modern techniques to conduct legal covert surveillance for your case.
What is Surveillance?
Surveillance is essentially a form of monitoring and information gathering, where one interested party monitors the activities of another party. Surveillance generally means close observation of a person or place with the intent of gathering information.
Private investigators conduct two basic types of surveillance – fixed and mobile.
When conducting surveillance, private investigators are limited by the legal concept of reasonable expectation of privacy. The US Supreme Court has interpreted the Constitution in a manner that guarantees every person in the United States an expectation of privacy in places where any reasonable person would assume outside eyes and ears would be excluded. For example, you can expect that no one can see or watch you in your home with the curtains drawn, but you cannot expect that people will not video record your vehicle as you drive down a pubic roadway.
While wiretapping and various forms of eavesdropping are types of surveillance, private investigators are generally only allowed to observe what is objectively reasonable for a person to see or hear in the public space. Private investigators use their expertise, specific techniques, and modern technology to maximize public information without violating the reasonable expectations of privacy of the person being observed.
What Type of Surveillance Does H7 Investigative Services Provide?
Fixed surveillance
Our investigators think creatively, and we’ll make every effort to get the necessary photos and video evidence for your case. If that means climbing up a tree, hiding under a bush, or setting up in a hotel across the street, we take the time to observe the surroundings and find the best vantage point to make accurate and useful observations.
Mobile surveillance
In many cases, mobile surveillance is necessary to track a subject throughout their daily activities. Our investigators are skilled at both mobile vehicle surveillance and surveillance on foot through busy sidewalks and other public areas.
Fixed surveillance can often lead to mobile surveillance, and mobile surveillance often requires following a subject by vehicle and out on foot. If the subject of the surveillance parks in a public place and goes into an establishment that is open to the public, we won’t simply park and wait for the subject to get back into their vehicle. Our surveillance continues on foot, and we’ll do everything legally within our power to maintain observation of the subject.
Finishing the Job
After the surveillance is completed, we’ll provide you with digital copies of the photographs and video footage along with a detailed report of what was observed. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to answer the questions of your investigation.
H7 Investigative Services conducts private investigations in Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley, and throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
